Our relationship with adidas Originals has been a strong one throughout our 17 years as a retailer. This connection has enabled us to continually work together on exclusive collections of footwear and apparel in limited numbers that you won’t find in any other store worldwide. ‘Adi’s Archive’ was a concept we approached adidas Originals with back in 2009 to find a way of bringing back historic shoes from years gone by in their original colourways, and also putting our own twist on a model with the addition of new palette’s and material alterations.
Close to 250 individual shoes have been developed through this joint venture, with some of these shoes never ordinarily have been given the chance to exist again. The shoes featured in this exhibition for the most part have been exclusively available at size? Over the past 8 years. This celebratory project has been a labour of love, equally for both size? and adidas Originals and will continue to be so as the importance of honouring these often lauded shoes within this trainer culture is undeniable.
Hosted at Old Granada Studios, Manchester, the exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday 6th May and Sunday 7th May from 11am – 6pm on both days.
